Well, it’s a start. Always interesting how things like this feel organic somehow (see here).
Maybe it’s only when they’re kicked.
Sympethetic responses to objects, the imaginary responsiveness to the small gestures of living and non-living things, this machine we call our selves broken in such a way that it feels pain for robots, ethics of viewing objects as part of ourselves, &c.
p.s. People should watch that video of the dog robot …. millenia of co-evolution, the minutiae of our gestalt with animals, evoked by a single, unexpected kick.
