I was trying to find a picture of a broken one, as the Gizmodo article perspicaciously implies that such might be a problem. No luck (yet). But still:
The design company behind the tables has chosen not to share the pricing information, so the magnitude of sticker shock an interested foosball enthusiast can expect with the Teckell collection is unknown. Still, who would want one of these? Foosball is a casual game involving beer drinking, take no prisoners competition, yelling, screaming and the occasional fistfight—not dressing up in your Sunday best and sharing a glass of champagne with Richie Rich. I thought the last might be a tad melodramatic, but then I consulted my own experience and realized that, empirically, it had come awful close once or twice…
b: re: fist fight close calls, assume you’re talking about me. question is, was the other side the guy who worked at The Showdown (R.I.P.) or Kate Richey?
Pretty sure the former, probably the latter, too, and a couple of other hazy incidents re: the Friday/Saturday night crowd and whatnot.
